We started by adding a fiber optic stars lighting guide to assist people and contractors for planning and installing fiber optic star ceilings. We also have wrote a pool design guide for fiber optic lighting as well showing some very simple diagrams for planning materials lists and even some basic installation tips as well. So if you really want to add some unique lighting to your home, but do not want to go through the expense and contractor material mark ups for products, we hope these guides can assist you in your projects. Stay tuned, we will be writing more of these design guides for all different types of fiber optic lighting projects you have. If you would like to comment on any suggestions that you would like to see, please feel free to do so.

Well, there has been much debate on led (Light Emitting Diode) neon light alternatives and regular neon lights and here is the real truth. I am sure this blog will stir up some controversy in the market place as we feed this out. Speaking from personal experience, the led neon lights are much more energy efficient, last longer and are a much safer product. Why are there people out there who will argue that traditional glass neon lights are better? Money, plain and simple it is money. If you have traditional glass neon you know the drill, go ahead and pull out your maintenance bills in the past years. Have a section that goes out? Make a call? Get a $100 service call just for a company to come out and look at a broken tube and take measurements? Then a few weeks later you should see another service call bill for the neon company actually bringing a replacement tube and installing it? Before you know it, over a few years you have a few thousand dollars of maintenance bills. Led neon first of all would have paid for itself in electrical savings over the first year, second it will last much longer, third it is cheaper.
