Fiber optic lighting guides

Filed under: Fiber optic lights — @ 2:21 am

We are happy to announce that we are starting to write some very good do it yourself fiber optic lighting guides. We started by adding a fiber optic stars lighting guide to assist people and contractors for planning and installing fiber optic star ceilings. We also have wrote a pool design guide for fiber optic lighting as well showing some very simple diagrams for planning materials lists and even some basic installation tips as well. So if you really want to add some unique lighting to your home, but do not want to go through the expense and contractor material mark ups for products, we hope these guides can assist you in your projects. Stay tuned, we will be writing more of these design guides for all different types of fiber optic lighting projects you have. If you would like to comment on any suggestions that you would like to see, please feel free to do so.

The real truth in the led neon light vs. traditional neon light argument

Filed under: Led Lights — @ 4:50 am

Well, there has been much debate on led (Light Emitting Diode) neon light alternatives and regular neon lights and here is the real truth.  I am sure this blog will stir up some controversy in the market place as we feed this out. Speaking from personal experience, the led neon lights are much more energy efficient, last longer and are a much safer product. Why are there people out there who will argue that traditional glass neon lights are better? Money, plain and simple it is money. If you have traditional glass neon you know the drill, go ahead and pull out your maintenance bills in the past years.  Have a section that goes out? Make a call? Get a $100 service call just for a company to come out and look at a broken tube and take measurements? Then a few weeks later you should see another service call bill for the neon company actually bringing a replacement tube and installing it? Before you know it, over a few years you have a few thousand dollars of maintenance bills.  Led neon first of all would have paid for itself in electrical savings over the first year, second it will last much longer, third it is cheaper.

1 watt Par 64 lights

Filed under: Led Lights — @ 4:27 am

Ok, so we have not wrote on our blog in a while telling about new products because we have been so busy sourcing all of these newer products. We have had numerous requests to source some more powerful par 64 lights and we are now happy to let you know we now have 1 watt par 64 lights. The 1 watt par 64 lights are available in 24 led lights ($399) and 36 led light ($449) configurations.  They are two times brighter and absolutely stunning.  We recently compared our 1 watt par 64 to a Color Kinetics Color Blast 12 TR and our can won the shootout hands down.  Not only did it have more of a punch than the Color Blast 12 TR ($899), it was also much easier to set up since it does not require the expensive CK power supplies and controllers. So, if you want to save some serious money and have a better light output, you might want to check out our 1 watt par 64 lights.

By the way, Elation, Chauvet or even American DJ does not have anything that is even remotely close to these cans for the price we are selling them for.

Par 64 UV lights

Filed under: Led Lights, Product of the Day — @ 6:13 am

Looking for an alternative to Color Kinetics Color Blast 12 TR UV lights? Oh we have it for you. Typically the CK UV light cost $700-$800 retail and you need DMX adapters and power supplies. We are happy to announce the addition of the UV Par 64 to our product line. Our product plugs right into the wall and has standard 3 pin DMX XLR in and out connections. Best of all, our fixture costs only $179. Our Par 64 UV has a throw of 60-70 feet and only consumes two DMX channels of intensity and strobe.
